To California and Back Again 1935-1962
At the age of 52, Lora Webb Nichols left Encampment, Wyoming to pursue a new life in Stockton, CA apart from her husband and children. Throughout this time, Lora continued to photograph, yet no longer relied on the medium as a source of income or centerpiece of her role within a community.
This gallery contains a few highlights from these later years of Lora’s life as she establishes herself in California, ultimately returning to Wyoming to retire around 1956.
